A very similar situation to the MUFC x Stone Roses jersey. Once again: absolutely love the band, not so much the club. I saw this jersey a year before its release at Puma HQ in Herzogenaurach and immediately knew I needed it. What I also knew was that, as an LFC fan, I’d never actually wear it.
I’ve never been the biggest Puma fan, so visits to Herzo were tough for me — definitely tougher than adidas. You have to wear the cat, and you can only wear the AMI collaboration so many times before you’re expected to show up in something new. The Definitely Maybe–inspired MCFC jersey designed by Noel Gallagher was supposed to be that piece… but I just couldn’t do it.
That’s also why this jersey was worn only once for the shoot and that’s it. Happy to let it go, along with the special packaging inspired by a vinyl release (which is pretty cool, to be fair).
